We acknowledge that the idea of a Resurrection at all speaks of a high and lofty notion that may seem quite unrealistic from several frameworks of thought. However, the framework of faith ought not to be discounted. The Bible being true, everything we need to get from present day to the Resurrection of the Dead is within reach, even so close, it is like it has been right under our feet all this time. We have great reason to believe that knowledge will bring about further exposure to the Gospel, and further exposure to the Gospel will bring about the Resurrection, like the Bible says. There are some things in history and society that if society were shown through a Biblical lens, society would have a chance to embrace the Gospel of Jesus Christ better, if meant to. One pertinent subject is the notion of the original Israelites in the Bible being Black people, a people who had some of their sub-populations “Whiten” over time and others who have become the remaining Black people today, making them all Israelites. Black people’s plights and futures are hypothetically framed within this context in this series. Some things in the Bible do not add up when we look at only non-Black Jewish people and their close Black relatives as today’s Israelites, as we long have. If people saw how closely things the Bible hints about Israelites align with what we know about non-Jewish Black identity and Black experiences, in a way that excludes other causes and curses, we might better see that the God of the Bible is truthful, accurate, thorough, alive and well, and doing just what he said he would do, even to the finest detail. Another link to the Resurrection is this knowledge could encourage Black people to interact with God in the light that they are this people en masse, something the Bible says would mark the time of the Resurrection when fulfilled by the Israelites, which non-Black Jewish people, generally, have already done. True faith should not force others. It should show others. Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes is a chapter-by-chapter set of examples that show that this often-scoffed-at idea of Black people as true Israelites could be true and would remind some of us of how easily we are deceived by our own biases, to have not seen this all along. This topic is concluded in ten books, each book, with ten chapters. Points are explored relatively concisely. Book 1, simply titled “Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes,” introduces the series, then jumps right into some examples. Book 2, Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes 2, talks about some of the more personal, family-oriented, and intimate examples. Book 3 looks at more examples, and, particularly, how slight details add big meaning... In the end, actions that might be taken are explored. If this theory is wrong but we act on it as if it is right, not much will be lost. If it this theory is right and we act on it as if it is right, the Bible says that the Israelite plights will end, all other people groups will be blessed, death will end, dead bones will rise, and Our Creator’s joy will increase. It would be worth it. In fact, in the Bible, it is not an “if” or “would.” It is a “when.” This is a topic that is very dear to many Black people but is little explored with the seriousness it deserves. The topic may also be considered dear to other people groups as it may bring them to a fuller understanding of Their Creator. Come and let us reason together as WTL International brings the arguments of Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes to you, an important set of pieces to this grand puzzle called “life,” a phenomenon marred by plight and death but tempered with understanding and autonomy over its final destiny.
